эк. тр., юр., амер. сохранение в настоящем последствий прошлой дискриминации* (одна из форм дискриминации в сфере трудовых отношений; классическим примером такой формы дискриминации является ситуация, когда в фирме существует иерархическая структура отделов, т. е. работа в одних отделах является более предпочтительной, чем работа в других; при этом работник, принадлежащий к дискриминируемой группе на основе признака расы, возраста, пола, религии или этнической принадлежности, работает в менее престижном отделе, что является фактом дискриминации, имевшей место в прошлом; если при возникновении возможности перевода в более престижный отдел, эта возможность не реализуется, такой случай трактуется как сохранение в настоящем последствий прошлой дискриминации, при условии что перевод работника в престижный отдел не состоялся по причине его принадлежности к дискриминируемому меньшинству, а не на основе его профессиональных качеств)
